TERMS OF SERVICE

1. ACCEPTANCE OF TERMS

By accessing or using the Controlled Chaos Combat website, products, or services, or purchasing from us, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use this website or purchase our products.

2. PRODUCTS AND CUSTOM ORDERS

Controlled Chaos Combat sells custom-fit athletic mouthguards and related products for sports use.

Custom mouthguards are made to order based on customer-submitted information, design choices, and impression-kit results. Because each guard is custom-made, ALL SALES ARE FINAL unless otherwise required by law. We do not accept returns, exchanges, or cancellations once production has begun.

If you believe your product has a manufacturing defect or fit issue, contact us within 14 days of receipt at outreach@controlledchaoscombat.com. We may request photos, videos, order information, impression details, or return of the product for review.

Design previews show your artwork on a standard guard shape. Because every guard is pressed to the customer's own teeth and gumline, the finished artwork may sit slightly differently from the preview, and tooth shape and gumline height affect how much of the design is visible. We place the design as close to the preview as the fit allows. This is not a defect and is not covered as one.

EasyFit is self-molded. A free return and refund is available within 7 days of delivery, only when the customer provides proof that the proper fitting instructions were followed. If proof is not provided, we cannot issue an EasyFit refund.

3. IMPRESSION KITS AND CUSTOMER RESPONSIBILITY

Custom guards are available only for athletes age 13 or older. A parent or legal guardian must consent and sign for every athlete under 18. Customers are responsible for carefully following all impression-kit instructions, including the 2-minute working time and the 3-minute in-mouth setting time after insertion.

Controlled Chaos Combat is not responsible for fit issues caused by:

• Incorrect tray placement
• Insufficient putty mixing
• Movement during setting
• Incomplete or distorted impressions
• Failure to follow timing instructions
• Failure to return the kit properly
• Damage during customer handling
• Customer-provided information that is incomplete or inaccurate

If a new impression kit, remake, or adjustment is needed, it is handled under the Perfect Fit Guarantee in section 4: a $15 remake shipping fee, nothing else.

4. PERFECT FIT GUARANTEE

If your custom guard (Chaos, Grapple or Essential) does not fit right, contact us within 14 days of delivery by email at outreach@controlledchaoscombat.com or by Instagram message to @controlledchaoscmbt. We remake or adjust the guard at no additional cost until it fits, including a new impression kit if one is needed. All we ask is that you cover the shipping for your replacement ($15).

The guarantee covers fit. It does not cover misuse, normal wear and tear, damage from chewing or heat, unauthorized modification, changes to your teeth or oral work done after ordering, or continued use after the guard is damaged. EasyFit boil-and-bite guards are molded at home and are not covered.

5. PRICING AND PAYMENT

All prices are listed in USD. We reserve the right to change pricing, product options, promotions, and availability at any time without notice.

Payment is processed securely at checkout through third-party payment processors. Orders may be refused, canceled, or delayed if payment is declined, flagged for fraud, incomplete, or otherwise cannot be verified.

6. SHIPPING

Impression kits ship within 48 hours, and EasyFit orders ship in 1–2 business days. Custom guard production takes 3–5 business days after a usable impression reaches our workshop (1–2 with Express production). These production times exclude carrier transit, which varies by customer address.

Controlled Chaos Combat is not responsible for delays caused by shipping carriers, weather, customs, incorrect addresses, failed delivery attempts, lost return kits, or circumstances outside our control once a package has been handed to the shipping carrier.

Customers are responsible for providing accurate shipping information. Additional fees may apply for reshipment due to incorrect or incomplete addresses.

7. CUSTOMER-SUBMITTED ARTWORK AND DESIGN RIGHTS

If you submit artwork, images, logos, text, names, symbols, or other design elements, you confirm that you own the content or have permission to use it.

You agree not to submit designs that infringe trademarks, copyrights, publicity rights, privacy rights, or other legal rights.

Controlled Chaos Combat may refuse, modify, or cancel any custom design request that we believe is unlawful, infringing, unsafe, offensive, misleading, or otherwise inappropriate.

By submitting design materials, you grant Controlled Chaos Combat permission to use those materials solely to create, produce, communicate about, and fulfill your order.

8. INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY

All website content, logos, images, product photography, copy, branding, designs, graphics, and other materials owned by Controlled Chaos Combat are protected intellectual property. Unauthorized use, copying, reproduction, distribution, or modification is prohibited.

9. PRODUCT USE & ATHLETIC DISCLAIMER

Controlled Chaos Combat makes custom-fit athletic mouthguards for sports use. We do not provide health diagnostic or treatment services. Our products are protective sports equipment and are not therapeutic devices, retainers, or substitutes for professional care.

None of our guards, including EasyFit, are made for braces or expanders; do not order one while wearing them. If you have implants, crowns, bridges, loose teeth, jaw discomfort, recent oral surgery, or specific health concerns, consult a qualified provider before ordering or using a mouthguard.

10. ASSUMPTION OF RISK AND LIMITATION OF LIABILITY

Combat sports and athletic activities involve inherent risk. No mouthguard can prevent all injuries. A mouthguard may help reduce certain oral injuries, but it cannot eliminate the risk of injury to the teeth, mouth, jaw, head, face, neck, body, or brain.

By purchasing or using our products, you acknowledge and accept the risks associated with combat sports and athletic activity.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Controlled Chaos Combat is not responsible for injuries, losses, claims, damages, or expenses arising from misuse, improper fit-kit completion, customer error, unauthorized modification, normal wear and tear, continued use of a damaged product, participation in high-risk activity, or failure to follow instructions.

11. PRODUCT CARE AND REPLACEMENT

Mouthguards should be cleaned, stored, inspected, and replaced as instructed.

Do not chew the mouthguard, expose it to excessive heat, leave it in a hot car, boil it unless specifically instructed, modify it, cut it, or use it after it becomes damaged.

Mouthguards naturally wear down over time. Replacement timing depends on use, bite force, sport type, training frequency, and care habits.

12. ORDER REFUSAL AND CANCELLATION

We reserve the right to refuse, cancel, or limit any order for reasons including suspected fraud, inaccurate information, unavailable materials, design concerns, production limitations, or violation of these Terms. If we cancel an order before production begins, we may issue a refund where appropriate.

13. WEBSITE USE

You agree not to misuse the website, interfere with its operation, attempt unauthorized access, submit false information, scrape content, copy materials, or use the website for unlawful purposes.

14. GOVERNING LAW

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Washington, USA, without regard to conflict-of-law rules.

15. CHANGES TO THESE TERMS

We may update these Terms from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated “Last Updated” date.
