Many mouthguards sold as "custom" online are one or two layers. Layer count is not the whole story: how well the guard fits and how thick it is over your teeth matter most. Chaos Guard uses three layers so it can carry full artwork and still add thickness for full-contact striking.
Chaos Guard is three EVA layers, each pressure-formed over a model of your teeth on the Dreve Drufomat Scan (up to 6 bar): a 2 mm layer for extra thickness, a 4 mm base that carries your colors and artwork, and a 1 mm clear layer that seals the design. Those are sheet thicknesses before forming; the finished guard is thinner where the material stretches.
